Our lagoon villas have 2 bathrooms, local TV, a DVD player and CD player, private laundry facilities, a full kitchen and bar and their own private outdoor bbq area. All rooms are air-conditioned. As well as superb views, you will enjoy easy access to Muri Beach. A home away from home!

Our 2 Bedroom Garden family units are ideal for small families of up to four. We have eight 2 bedroom Garden family units available in this configuration and all are air-conditioned. You have the choice of a first floor unit with balcony or a ground level unit with patio. These units have 1 bathroom, 2 king size beds (or 4 king singles), basic kitchen facilities, microwave, mini-fridge, tea coffee making facilities, etc and a separate lounge/dining room.

Garden Suite
Our Garden Suites are very spacious studios with large bathrooms and living area. All rooms are on groud level, are individually staggered and have a patio area with outdoor furniture. All rooms have a lovely view of the

Gardens or the natural creek that runs directly from the mountains and winds through the property. All rooms are air-conditioned, have a king sized bed (or two king singles), tea & coffee making facilities (coffee plunger, toaster, mini fridge etc) Flat screen TV, DVD recorder, digital room safes and a lovely tropical feel - although very modern.

Imagine a warrior in a traditional vaka (outrigger canoe) paddling you across to the shores of Motu Koromiri where your bridegroom is waiting for you. As the vaka slowly makes its way across the blue waters of Muri lagoon with your warrior blows the parau (conch shell) to announce the bride.

At the wedding site a trail of petals leads to the wedding arch where your groom is waiting for you, our serenader strums his ukulele and sings a beautiful wedding song as you walk to your husband to be.

Once you have made your promises to each other a lovely maiden dances to papau ana taua (Cook Island wedding dance describing the love of the bride & groom for each other and the marriage ceremony).

Start you day with our complimentary island breakfast buffet , or order from the cooked breakfast menu.

Relax and dine throughout the day with our all day ‘a la carte’ menu, offering from the very best of international cuisine to light snacks. Choose to dine on the beach, in the courtyard, the Barefoot bar or if you prefer to watch the fish, Sandals restaurant. Every evening offers entertainment by local musicians along with ‘Happy hour’ from 5-6pm

Room Service is available from 7:30am to 10.00pm daily, and you may also order food and beverages to be delivered to the resort pool during these hours.

Our cuisine team can accommodate a group booking of any size. We cater for Weddings, Birthdays, Incentive groups and other special events. Additionally we are able to accomodate catering requests at other venus around the island. We have a variety of set menus and dining options available on request.

A Culture of Dance

A visit to the Cook Islands is not complete without experiencing an Island Night.

Pacific Resort Rarotonga features an Island Night each Friday and Monday evening - it is essential that you book in advance.

Friday evenings Island night offers a buffet of local produce and herbs and spices all cooked the traditional way in an 'umu' - a hot rock ground oven.

Feast to your heart’s content on taro, breadfruit, pawpaw, mango, puke, yams and other island specialties and experience the delicious flavour of meat and seafood cooked in the Umu

Monday evenings Island nigh offers an 'A La Carte' selection of local produce and herbs and spices all cooked with traditional recipies and blends.

Song and Dance:

After you have savoured the delicasies of traditional cuisine, it is time to experience the passionate performance of Cook Island song and dance!

Cook Island dancers are amongst the best in the world and their rhythm and style is considered an art form. Island Women move their hips at lightning speed, to the beat of the wooden and skin drums. Island Song is equally impressive. Hear the magnificent harmonies echoing around you and across the beach.

The finale of our Island Night is the Ura Piaini - where all guests are invited to participate in the dance – it’s a time to really let go, throw yourself into the occasion and enjoy yourself!

Join one of our organised tours - such as the Garden Tour, where you'll learn more about our impressive plants and flowers - or enjoy a fun group lesson and learn various cultural skills at our Beach Hut.

Spend your days swimming, sunbathing, windsurfing, sailing, kayaking around the islands and its small islets. Dive and snorkel the day away to discover all that the lagoon has to offer.

Relax on Rarotonga's premier beach 'Muri Lagoon', sip on a tropical cocktail at the The Barefoot Bar and enjoy this troplical paradise.

Fun in the Water

Muri beach is Rarotonga's best spot for water sports and here at Pacific Resort Rarotonga we offer a wide range of beach sport equipment, including complimentary snorkelling gear and kayaks, plus pedal boats and sailing craft for hire.

Or take a dip in our fresh water inland swimming pool.

The Beach Hut is located right on Muri Beach (adjacent to the Barefoot Bar) and is open every day from 8.00am - 5.00pm. Our guests can enjoy the use of our kayaks and snorkelling equipment as well as beach towels and sun-loungers free of charge.

For a nominal charge we also have pedal boats (ideal for a leisurely cruise of Muri lagoon), two and three person sailing dinghies and a range of wind surfers to suit all conditions.

Glass Bottom Boat
The Beach Hut team also operate our 8.5 metre glass bottom cruiser, 'Moana Roa'. There are daily excursions (except Sunday) departing 11.00am from our beachfront for cruises on our beautiful lagoon. Explore the coral gardens, feed the tropical fish, then cruise to Koromiri Island for a sumptuous BBQ lunch and plenty of tall stories!

Massage and Beauty
We offer Massage Services from Monday – Sunday from 8am to 5pm. Christa or Hinano offer a range of massage treatments including Reflexology and Swedish massage. Relax and be pampered on the beach, or in the privacy of your own room.

Hairdressing, pedicures, manicures and facial treatments are also available as an in-room service. Treat yourself to a beauty treatment that will leave you looking, and feeling, fabulous.

Kids Club at the Beach Hut
When it comes to family fun, Rarotonga is truly the Island of Peace and Plenty. There's a whole host of things to enjoy together. But when Mum and Dad want a little peace and quiet together, our Kids Club has plenty of great activities for the children.

Kids Club caters for children aged 6 years and over all year round.

Kids can join a treasure hunt, nature arts and crafts, take a discovery walk through our tropical gardens, and the list goes on. The kids will be having so much fun, parents can simply relax and disappear!

Other Activities
The Beach Hut staff organise a range of other fun activities, including: The Walk-About Tour, beach volleyball games and more. We have supervised activities designed for children schedules at appropriate times and can arrange other tours of Rarotonga. Head off on a Garden Tour with Blair your host, who will teach you all need to know about our tropical flowers and plants.

The Garden Tour happens every Monday at 3pm but if by any chance you can’t make it, feel free to request a day and time with Blair at Reception.

Cook Island Culture
We run a range of interesting cultural activities to introduce you to the way of life here in the Cook Islands. Learn the fascinating story of the coconut, take Ukulele lessons, try hula dancing, experience giant clam and octopus hunting or head out for a spot of reef fishing with an experienced island guide.

The Cultural Village is an experience not to miss. The Cultural Village staff will pick you up from Reception at 9am and take you to the Village. You’ll discover our island history, eat a yummy lunch, learn how to do Cook Islands dancing and more! At the end of your tour you will be transported back to the resort.

Koromiri Island
Koromiri Island is a private and uninhabited island across the lagoon from Pacific Resort Rarotonga. The island’s land owners have allowed our guests access to this island for recreational purposes, as long as it is kept clean and tidy. You can access the island by walking across the lagoon, by kayaking or for a nominal charge by boat. Take a picnic across to ‘your own deserted island’ or snorkel its magical waters.

Windsurfing
We now have the latest Windsurfing Simulator! Don’t hesitate to learn - our professional instructor will teach you first on land and then help you experience Windsurfing in the water. Take a one-hour private lesson or join a group session. Windsurfing lessons are complimentary and it is just $20 for a full days hire of a windsurfer.

If it rains…

For rainy days we can hire a TV and DVD player for the units if you require them. We also have board games and paperback novels available at reception for your use during your stay.

Pacific Resort Rarotonga has the only 'weather rock station' in the Cook Islands. It is the most reliable and natural way to forecast the weather conditions for Rarotonga.

We recommend you wear suitable footwear and sunscreen when exploring our lagoons and reefs and always go with a friend or arrange an excursion with one of the beach hut team.

Also at the resort we offer Massage Services from Monday – Saturday, 8am – 5pm. Our masseuse offers a range of massage treatments including Reflexology and Swedish massage. You are most welcome to relax and be massaged on the beach or in the privacy of your room.
