Avana Marina provides a deluxe hideaway, located on the very edge of stunning Avana Lagoon on Rarotonga's East coast, situated on a rocky beach fronting deepwater Avana Harbour, each with uninterrupted views of a beautiful uninhabited islet with its sandy beaches.

Muri Beach is a ten minute walk, local shops are a five minute walk and the local bus service to town and restaurants runs near the property.

Avana Lagoon offers a perfect sheltered mooring for the huge ocean-going Polynesians voyaging canoes which used the island of Rarotonga as a long term staging post because of its location, beauty, safety and garden of Eden.  Avana Harbor is the historic site for the departure of the canoe's which carried the Maori people to New Zealand in ancient times and is a popular fishing harbor for local people in their canoes and small boats. 

There are only six two story condos each with complete privacy, and impressive views of the lagoon, ocean and the uninhabited islets opposite.  Complimentary row boats will take you fifty yards across the lagoon to your own private quiet island beach.  

Each condominium of well over 1000 square feet (100 square meters), offers either two or three bedrooms, one and a half or two and a half bathrooms, a huge dining / lounge area with TV, modern laundry and kitchen with dishwashers and  microwave, viewing and relaxing decks, verandas and a private courtyard too. 

The spacious grounds are palm shaded, with abundant tropical frangipani, bougainvillea and hibiscus gardens, hedges, lawns and sandy sunbathing areas.

A crystal clear fresh water swimming pool is surrounded by hardwood timber decks and thatched shade and barbecue huts.

Our Private jetty, stretching from the beach into the lagoon, is a perfect place for fishing, swimming, snorkeling, sundown cocktails or a sunrise cup of fresh local roasted coffee.  Complimentary canoes and snorkeling.

Each two bedroom condo offers:

• At least 1000 square feet of spacious comfort
• Upstairs master bedroom with queen bed and views over the lagoon
• Upstairs second bedroom with two singles or one double bed
• Upstairs bathroom with full size bath and shower

Each three bedroom condo offers:

• An extra bedroom upstairs and two upstairs bathrooms with showers (no bathtub)

All condos have downstairs:

• A laundry
• Extra toilet facilities
• Kitchen with full size gas stove, oven, coffee maker, refrigerator, freezer, all crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils, microwave, and much more..
• Large airy lounge with TV, private direct access phone line, library, lounge furniture and daybed /single bed
• Seaside veranda and sundeck with lounging furniture
• Private courtyard

There is ample storage and extra linen always available though condos are serviced at least twice weekly by friendly staff.

The staff will spend time with you upon arrival, advising on cultural matters, restaurants, shopping and helping with plans for rentals, tours and excursions.  Avana's location is such that all tours can be accessed from here, we are a mere 10 minutes by public bus or car to the main shopping center and only walking distance to local shops and restaurants.

Normal check in time is 12 noon and checkout time is 10 am

Boating and deep sea fishing charters are all easily accessible from their private jetty - just footsteps from your courtyard, lounge and lanais.  Their sandy lagoon-side sunbathing area is quite popular.

Servicing is daily for quick service, remove trash and twice weekly for full service, replace linen, towels. etc.
